Our training is undertaken by our Senior Technical Consultants, who have over 10 years of experience
running Symbian OS training sessions, boot camps and technical workshops throughout the world for companies
such as Nokia, Symbian, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Siemens, UIQ and Orange.
These consultants have technically led complex development projects with Symbian, handset manufacturers,
network operators and application development vendors. This experience has given them the in depth knowledge
and skills necessary to provide expert technical advice on designing and developing software on this platform.
Apadmi provides the following training courses, each designed to suit the existing
knowledge and skills of your engineering teams. These courses can be run over 3 or 5 days and can be merged
together and customized to meet your specific requirements:
Symbian OS/S60 Essentials - These topics are designed to introduce delegates to Symbian OS/S60 and cover all of the basic level concepts for developing on this platform.
Symbian OS/S60 Application Engines - This course covers all of the core concepts for advanced application and systems programming. Well designed applications for Symbian OS are typically split into two components - a user interface and an engine which implements the core functionality of the application. This course contains all of the information required to allow developers to design, create and test sophisticated engine software.
S60 5th Edition Application UI - This comprehensive course covers all of the key concepts required to get developers writing professional looking S60 5th Edition applications and UI components.
50% of the course content is devoted to practical workshops where delegates have the opportunity to reinforce their new skills by building software based on the content of each course module.
In addition to the practical aspects of the course, there will be an emphasis on the benefits of high quality design for mobile applications. Our trainers discuss both the importance of UI design for small devices as well as some best practice techniques for software design at the UI layer of an application.
During the course we will answer specific technical questions that you have and give an expert perspective on Symbian/S60 development to ensure you receive valuable guidance on your specific development needs.
After the training we can also provide additional Consultancy Support to help you transfer the skills and knowledge obtained from the course onto your specific development projects.
