Product Owner

Competitive, negotiable salary & excellent company benefits

Trafford Park (5-minute walk from Media City)

Do you have previous experience working with large companies to deliver project success as a Product Owner?

Are you an avid advocate of all things agile?

You could be the ideal person to join our team and help take Apadmi’s tech builds to the next level.

The opportunity

Since we launched ten years ago, the Apadmi team has built a reputation and client base that we think means we can rightly call ourselves the best in the UK.

We work with some of the biggest brands; from app developments to huge digital transformations, we help our clients make things better with mobile technology – and right now, we need a new Product Owner to help with our wealth of agile projects.

You’ll be a highly-organised, proactive problem solver, who’ll be able to liaise between Product Managers, Client POs and scrum teams, to clearly define Sprint Backlogs and perform sprint planning.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, your key responsibilities as our new Product Owner will include:

  • Defining, writing, reviewing and providing sign off for product user stories in Jira
  • Working with scrum teams to create, refine, prioritise and maintain product backlogs, developing them if required for following sprints
  • Running discovery sessions to refine the backlog
  • Working closely with the multi-functional scrum team, attending scrum ceremonies
  • Working with alongside other PO’s to deliver a full product suite
  • Working with the resourcing team to ensure scrum team members are allocated and planned in

We’d like you to be…

Enthusiastic, flexible, adaptable, with a drive to deliver.

You’ll find our approach slightly different from most companies.

Ideally, you’ll have an Agile Scrum Product Owner Certification, and previous Product Owner experience working on large-scale projects.

But while we care about hiring highly-qualified team members, we’re also interested in your personality.

We’ll expect you to work collaboratively and in a supportive way within the business, but we’ll also expect you to be an ambitious, passionate individual who participates in regular training to ensure the strongest skill set.

You’ll be expected to help us drive the adoption of agile process within Apadmi alongside Scrum Masters, so you need to be a positive, energetic person who has a passion for knowledge sharing and stakeholder support.

Why would you want to work at Apadmi?

If you join Apadmi as our next Product Owner, you’ll get the opportunity to work alongside one of the best mobile development teams in the country, with the chance to make a difference to our every-day workings as a company.

We’ll never shun your ideas – if you think there’s a way we could improve our project operations, we want to hear it! As tech experts, we’re always looking for the latest developments in our industry that will help make us more efficient, so we expect the same from you.

We’re also rapidly expanding, so there are plenty of opportunities to progress within the Apadmi network.

Aside from this though, we’ll offer you plenty of benefits. To give you a taster, they include:

  • Fitness fanatics

For anyone wanting to keep fit and healthy you can join in with our football team, cross-fit sessions or running club.
  • Flexible working

We’re an agile mobile tech company so we don’t follow the traditional 9-5. You’ll get flexible working hours at Apadmi that fit around commutes and commitments.
  • Free breakfast

Fresh fruit and a plethora of bread loaves are delivered each morning to our HQ, plus we have free hot drinks throughout the day, so early birds won’t go hungry at our office.
  • Free parking at HQ

We know finding somewhere to park for the day can be tricky as well as expensive, but our main office at Warren Bruce Court offers free and secure parking around the clock.
  • Pension scheme

You won’t just get a competitive salary at Apadmi – we have a healthy pension scheme for all employees.
  • Social events

Whether it’s a beer after work, or a few cocktails at the Christmas party, we have a packed social calendar with plenty of events for our team to let their hair down.
  • The Landing & The Fed

Work from home, HQ or our new satellite offices. We’ve expanded to include The Landing in Media City and a city centre location in Federation House.
  • Training & Development

We’re always looking for ways to improve, and that includes investing in staff, whether it’s internal workshops, attending key industry events or signing up for training courses.
