John Porteous, Managing Director, Central Financial Services, Charles Stanley
John Porteous is Managing Director of Charles Stanley Central Financial Services having joined the firm in March 2019.
John has over 30 years industry experience across a number of executive leadership positions within the Wealth Management sector. He is qualified as both a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner. He is also a Fellow of the Institute for Securities and Investment.
A regular presenter at industry events, John has held a number of influential roles including Chairman of the Society of Financial Advisers, Director of the Institute of Financial Planning and Council Member/Director of APFA.
Tony Vail, Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer, Wealth Wizards
Tony is a serial fintech founder with significant experience in delivering proposition development, innovation, and breakthrough strategy within the financial services sector. Tony started his career at Prudential where he qualified as an actuary and led various product development and corporate strategy projects.
He has been part of the founding teams of Prudential Bank, Egg and Zopa, as well as being an adviser on strategy and product development to various blue-chip businesses along the way. He is a co-founder of Wealth Wizards and currently leads strategic development as a part of the Executive team, including applications of Artificial Intelligence.
Michelle Calcutt, Director of Global Client Experience at Aviva Investors
Having been in the industry since 1999, she joined Aviva Investors in 2017. Michelle is a member of the Global Client Solutions Leadership Team and is responsible for the Aviva Investors overall Client Experience Strategy, driving improvements across the end-to-end client engagement cycle.
Michelle is also responsible for our European and Asian Client Service Teams and central functions supporting the wider division. She is a member of the Operational Oversight Committee and Strategic Execution Committee, and holds the IMC.
Richard Caldicott, Deputy CEO M&G Wealth Advice
Richard currently operates as Deputy CEO of the Wealth Advice Business. In this role, Richard is accountable for developing the businesses to ensure the delivery of optimal customer outcomes whilst achieving their commercial objectives with customers & clients who invest directly with or without financial advice. Richard is particularly passionate in exploring how technology can be used to help reduce the advice gap in the UK.
Richard is on the Board of Directors for the Donaldson Trust which provides educational services to support neurodiverse young people across Scotland.
