Newsbit is one of the fastest-growing platforms for crypto news in the Netherlands. It brings together real-time updates, price insights, market trends and educational content for both crypto newcomers and seasoned investors. While the desktop experience was well-established, Newsbit saw mobile as the key to deeper engagement and future growth.
With no major crypto news apps active in the Dutch market, there was a clear first-mover advantage to claim. The ask: help Newsbit design and launch a native mobile app that would meet the high expectations of crypto users. And make it snappy.
What we did
We scoped, designed and built a brand-new mobile app for Newsbit, covering everything from UX to App Store submission. Working in fast-paced, one-week Agile sprints, we delivered a full-featured experience in just three weeks. From brief to release-ready build.
The app gives users a focused, mobile-first way to follow the crypto world, offering:
A clean, intuitive news feed with teasers and deep links to articles
Real-time price tracking via charts integration
Push notifications for breaking news (OneSignal SDK)
Support for video playback
Firebase analytics for usage insights
Dark mode for night-time browsing
Lightweight ad support via webviews
Together with Newsbit, our mobile experts handled design and development, across both iOS and Android. Newsbit provided brand assets and API input, whilst Apadmi led the full delivery process, including QA, testing and deployment.
We also kept the technical setup lean and scalable. Perfect for a startup audience, but ready to grow with the platform.
How we moved the market
With the launch of the Newsbit app, a gap in the Dutch market was filled. Crypto users now have a go-to mobile destination for minute-by-minute updates, without relying on browser tabs or generic finance apps.
By going native, Newsbit was able to exceed user expectations. The app’s speed, clarity and usability all contribute to a premium experience, aligned with the pace of the crypto world. Thanks to push notifications, Newsbit now has a direct, real-time channel to reach its audience; turning casual browsers into daily active users.
This was more than just an app build; it was a smart move to strengthen brand equity, unlock new engagement, and set the standard for mobile-first crypto media in the Netherlands.
