Van Oord is a leading marine contractor headquartered in the Netherlands. Founded in 1868, today the company operates a specialised fleet of vessels and provides engineering, procurement, and construction services for dredging, offshore wind, and major marine infrastructure projects worldwide.
As its offshore wind operations expanded, so did the complexity of managing data across the supply chain. Information was fragmented, processes varied between teams, and there was no single source of truth.
Van Oord partnered with Apadmi to redesign the operational workflow. The goal was to create a flexible digital platform that could centralise data, standardise processes and evolve alongside a constantly changing supply chain.

Connecting systems through a custom API
The platform is the new cornerstone in Van Oord’s point-to-point infrastructure. A custom API connects Van Oord’s existing systems into the database, automatically exchanging data and unlocking richer operational insights.
Supporting the next generation of renewable energy
Since 2018, we’ve worked closely with Van Oord to develop a solution built for long-term growth, and the company’s ambitions have continued to grow.
Now more than 155 years old, the company operates across 36 countries and delivered 213 projects in 2025, generating €2.6 billion in revenue with an order book of €4.4 billion.
Offshore wind remains a major area of growth. Recent projects include transport and installation work on Baltic Power, Poland’s first offshore wind farm, alongside continued investment in its specialist fleet.
As projects become larger, more complex and increasingly international, the digital platform developed with Apadmi continues to provide the operational foundation that helps keep global supply chains connected, consistent and scalable.
