We’re proud to announce our partnership with Neurodiversity in Business, a new charity and industry forum that supports the participation of neurodivergent individuals in the workplace.

Neurodiversity in Business is on a mission to transform understanding, acceptance and support of neurodiversity in the corporate world and remove employment barriers, an outlook that Apadmi wholeheartedly shares.

Dan Harris, CEO of Neurodiversity in Business welcomed the partnership by stating: “We are delighted that Apadmi has become a member, as it signals their commitment to ensuring a truly inclusive workplace and a desire to strive for the best in diversity and inclusion standards.”

15-20% of the UK population is neurodiverse, which includes conditions such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. But despite this community being innovative, self-motivated and detail-oriented, unemployment for neurodivergent adults runs high. Studies have found that within the subgroup of people with autism, only 21.7% are in employment.

Individuals who think differently allow for an innovative workforce and a true “diversity of thought”.

“Our values begin with our people and we’re constantly on the hunt for new perspectives, different opinions and broader ways of thinking, so supporting an initiative like Neurodiversity in Business made complete sense to us.” said Laura Herbert, our Head of People. She continues “Partnering with NiB will help us to support our neurodiverse colleagues in the best way possible as Apadmi will be committed to following industry best practice and championing neurodiversity within the wider tech community. .”

Alongside Apadmi, other members include; IBM, KPMG, Lloyds Banking Group, TalkTalk, Virgin Media and many more.
