Our Cloud Computing service

Our Cloud Computing service offers three key major advantages to any business:

Security

Depending on the solution, cloud computing offers a variety of security options beyond that of physical computing. The major advantage is the ability to control where information is stored, so you can ensure that even if a device is lost or stolen, it can't be used to access any company information

Efficiency

Seamless access to information empowers every member of your business to work independently. This is invaluable, preventing work from being duplicated or blocked by other departments. It even means that your employees in the field can react to any changes in the office instantly

Continuity

With cloud computing, an employee can access all the information they need to do their job from their own home, allowing them to continue if the office becomes unavailable. The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the importance of this; many of those who adapted the fastest were reliant on cloud computing

Find the right platform for you

Cloud computing offers a wealth of benefits to growing businesses, and those with multiple locations or employees outside of a static office. Once you’ve decided if it’s right for you, the next step is to choose a model for your cloud computing environment, and a platform.

Below, we’ve given you a quick breakdown; wach of these models requires some form of integration within a business, and both PaaS and IaaS models may require a tailored software solution. Our Cloud service includes both integration and cloud software development to support whichever model is right for your business.

The most common form of cloud computing, offered by platforms such as Google Workspace, Dropbox and Salesforce. SaaS cloud computing lets users work, share and collaborate through a piece of software accessed via their browser. The SaaS model removes the need to install, manage or upgrade software – it’s all done via the platform. Plus, it can often allow users to connect on any device with a web browser, making it ideal for fieldwork. However, SaaS always involves storing data with another business which, depending on the platform, can be a risk for sensitive data.

Similar to SaaS, the PaaS model allows your employees to access your cloud environment via a dedicated platform, such as AWS Elastic Beanstalk or Heroku. In some cases, this may be a bespoke solution for just your company, while for others it can be more general. PaaS is also highly scalable, and can allow businesses to create unique software to fill specific needs within the company, such as a cloud-based accounting system. On the other hand, the PaaS infrastructure can be rigid once created, making it less adaptable to change, and there’s still a need to give external parties access to your data, creating a security risk.

A more secure infrastructure, IaaS models, like AWS, GCP and Microsoft Azure, essentially let you rent out a section of cyberspace on a secure server – then you can model your own access and data storage system within it. As you can build the cloud environment to suit your needs, this model is the most flexible and secure. The drawback of a tailored IaaS solution is both cost and time though, as you’ll need to create most things from scratch.

Popular cloud platforms

Microsoft Azure

A robust and highly scalable platform, Microsoft Azure is an IaaS with the option of both SaaS and PaaS platforms. Whether you want to create your own software or opt for a pre-made solution, Apadmi can help you quickly build your cloud environment within Microsoft Azure.

Amazon Web Services

AWS is the market leader for cloud providers and is constantly releasing new and exciting components. Whether you want carefully orchestrated business logic, high scalability or cutting edge chatbots, AWS is a fantastic Cloud option. We've delivered products that utilise the flexibility of AWS for years.

Our Data Streaming Service

Making the jump from processing information daily to streaming it can completely change the way an organisation interacts with its data.

Streaming data is continuously generated by thousands of data points, which each sends small data records as they happen – resulting in an almost constant flow of data records.

This data can wildly vary in type and can cover everything from customer behaviour on your various platforms to telemetry from connected devices. Streaming this data creates a powerful and constantly improving data set that can drive key business decisions, improve efficiency and even increase conversion throughout your business.

Choosing a data streaming specialist

Data streaming is at an exciting point in the market, as many companies are attempting a large-scale solution for the first time.

Either way, it’s critical to have at least one specialist on board who has previous experience implementing a data streaming solution successfully.

At Apadmi, we have plenty of experience with data streaming, including our work on the award-winning SailGP app.

We’ll work with you to ensure that we have a clear understanding of both how you want the data to be reported, and how you want to be able to use it – allowing our team to create an efficient, tailored data solution unique to your business needs.
