Land Rover Jaguar wanted something different for the release of their new Range Rover Evoque model.
In 2012, we worked with their design agency RARE to build a mobile solution to support it’s global media launch and press event – a two-day Global Drive from North Wales into Liverpool where the car would be showcased to over 700 top international motor journalists.
They needed an engaging magazine-style app that combined interactive film, video and map content with information on the Evoque’s advanced engineering and technology.
What we did
We developed a mobile app featuring more than 20 interactive pages, six main sections, an interactive map and over 160 movies, all delivered in 9 languages.
Each journalist at the press event was provided with an iPad, and the app was used to navigate them through an immersive environment with a wealth of rich media content, complex engineering data and dynamic moving images.
The Evoque has become one of Land Rover Jaguar’s biggest success stories, and they have continued to use our app to showcase the vehicle at press events and car shows across the world.
After the success of the Range Rover Evoque iPad app, we were commissioned to develop a second solution for their sales team.
They needed a tool that would enable them to quickly and easily communicate the luxury and quality aspects of Land Rover models. Case studies and testimonials from existing owners needed to be accessible within the app, as well as the various customisation options available.
Both apps provided powerful new ways of communicating with completely different audiences, transforming vehicle presentation, into a dynamic experience that reflected the premium values of Land Rover.
